HOT Interiors – Ibermaison - Free Expreession
Eloquently expressing your own highly individual perceptions and mirroring your lifestyle to perfection, creating the ultimate contemporary living space is all about balance, harmony, colour, function and form. Welcome to the inspirational world of Ibermaison...
Established in 1999 and with landmark showrooms in Madrid, Marbella, and a new store opening in Ibiza at the end of the month, Ibermaison Design Station is at the very forefront of irreproachable contemporary design embracing the fields of interior decor, architecture and art, together with the design and manufacture of its own exquisite Ferrachi Casa furniture collection featuring the fabulous Worganik range, created exclusively by world-renowned Karim Rashid.
Offering bespoke interior design services to discerning homeowners as well as prominent hotels, restaurants and other commercial enterprises, the organisation represents the most prestigious award-winning companies including Cappellini, Minot, Edra, Moroso, Driade, Cassina, Paola Lenti, Living Divani, Zanotta and Sawaya & Moroni, and is also the exclusive distributor in Andalucia of Vitra.
Germany's most revered of style icons, Vitra began life in the late 1950s, producing the acclaimed designs of Charles and Ray Eames before diversifying into the office furniture sector. But now, with the charismatic new Vitra at Home collection, the company has returned to its roots while at the same time taking a decisive and visionary step into the future. Fusing to perfection the classical styles of the Eames, George Nelson, Jean Prouve, Isamu Noguchi and Verner Panton, with the fashion-forward creativity of Jasper Morrison, the Bouroullec brothers, Maarten Van Severen, Hella Jongerius, Philippe Starck, Werner Aisslinger, Greg Lynn, Herzog & de Meuron and Frank 0. Gehry, the stunning Vitra at Home collection spans more than 70 years of extraordinary design history.
The eclectic Vitra range features groundbreaking signature pieces such as Greg Lynn's desirable Ravioli Chair, Jasper Morrison's sumptuous Park Sofa, Werner Aisslinger's revolutionary Level 34 living room storage system, and Philippe Starck's appealing BaObab desk. Other superb items include the Late Sofa and ingenious Twig and Algue room dividers - the latter made of interlocking branches of injection-moulded faux algae, easily assembled to create dramatic freeform sculptures and web-like wall hangings — all from the innovative drawingboards of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.
Then there are the highly original Hocker and Jingzi lamps by Herzog & de Meuron who, among their impressive collection of design awards, have won the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize for their entire oeuvre, while retro masterpieces include Frank 0. Gehry's reinterpretation of his famous 1960s Cardboard furniture and delicious Cloud lamps, while the evocative Organic chair - first launched in the 1940s and winning designers Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen first prize at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Organic Furniture Competition - has been discovered anew.
Combining the best of XX century classics with signature contemporary creations, the uniquely fascinating Vitra journey through time and diverse cultures takes inspiration from the 'select and arrange' philosophy of the Eames where, with each carefully chosen piece masterfully harmonising with the next, you are free to follow your instincts, express your individuality, and make your own unique design statement.
A multi-faceted company of many talents, the unerring hand and enormous flair of the highly skilled and eminently professional lbermaison Design Station team has been responsible for the interior design of several high profile projects and show homes on the Costa del Sol, including Torre Bermeja, La Alzambra, La Trinidad, Mansion Club, Greenlife and Sierra Blanca, while its impressive portfolio of successfully completed architectural projects encompasses various high-specification contemporary residences at exclusive locations in Madrid, Marbella and Ibiza.
Masters of design, it also comes as no surprise that lbermaison was one of several leading organisations chosen to take part in the most ambitious of recent major projects, Madrid's milestone 5-star Hotel Puerta America - an imitable melting pot of cutting-edge design showcasing the prodigious talents of 18 of the world's leading architects, including Jean Nouvel, Sir Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid and Ron Arad. The company's involvement extended to no fewer than seven of the hotel's lavishly-appointed twelve floors, each one of which is unique. With the company's role ranging from project execution and trouble-shooting, to installation and the manufacture of exclusive items, on the exquisite seventh floor designed by Ron Arad, for example, lbermaison was responsible for designing the circular illumination system for the architect's new version of the Nina Rota bed which seems to float in mid air as if by magic.IBERMAISON Golden Mile, Km. 176, Marbella Tel: (+34) 952 770 675 firstname.lastname@example.org; www.ibermaison.corn Open Monday to Friday: lOam to 2pm & 4.30pm to 8pm; Saturdays: 10.30om to 2pm.
