Málaga province – home to the incomparable Costa del Sol – has shot to first place in Q1 2017 on TheMoveChannel.com’s latest Top 50 Hotspots Index.

Only last month, TheMoveChannel.com’s Top of the Props report showed that with Spanish real estate accounting for more than one in seven of its enquiries – equating to the country’s highest level of activity since 2013 – Spain was in pole position on the property portal’s top 10 destinations. At a local level, Costa del Sol Hotspots all making it into the Top 50 included Nerja, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, La Cala de Mijas, Estepona, Marbella, Torremolinos and Mijas.

Elsewhere, Portugal accounted for eight destinations in the Top 50, followed by Italy with five and France with three
