A double celebration for Moneycorp!

When the VIVA team received their invitations to the Moneycorp anniversary celebrations earlier this month, we couldn’t believe that a whole year had passed since their last ‘do’ where we’d had such a great evening that we were all still talking about it. So we just couldn’t wait…

This time, Moneycorp were celebrating two important milestones: Their tenth anniversary on the Costa del Sol, and their first year in their “shiny new premises” in La Cala de Mijas since relocating there from their previous base in Puerto Banús – a strategic move which, as they predicted, has resulted in a significant increase in their already substantial business.

More than 100 guests – including private and corporate clients, real estate partners, lawyers, friends and associates – attended the event held on 10 October, with both Moneycorp’s CEO Mark Horgan and Executive Director Commercial Foreign Exchange Andrew Woolley flying in from London to host the party alongside their Costa del Sol team – Regional Manager Steve Tiley, Key Partner Account Manager Cookie Bhoday, Alex Berdouni, Chris McCormick and Karen White.

To get the party started there were cool vibes courtesy of vocalist and guitarist David McLaughlan, platters of deliciously tempting canapés accompanied by plenty of good wine provided by caterers Delifreshgo, while the fabulous raffle prizes included a bottle of champagne, a case of vino and a beautiful basket full of gourmet treats.

“Our company reserves are very robust and growth has been excellent in 2013,” said Mark Horgan.”In fact our assessment of the market has proved highly accurate.”

Founded in 1962 and registered with the FSA, TTT Moneycorp has been dealing in foreign exchange since 1979 and in addition to its Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca offices, has a network of branches in the US, UK and Ireland.

Moneycorp currently has more than 600 dedicated employees, and last year traded £11.1bn in currencies with no fewer than 2.4 million customer transactions.

With plenty of parking just outside the door, the Costa del Sol Moneycorp office – open Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 6pm – is located at the Cala Sol shopping centre, Boulevard La Cala Edificio B, Local 10, right in the heart of La Cala de Mijas.
