Eva Longoria unwinds on Marbella yacht

American actress Eva Longoria, 40, was spotted soaking up the sun in Marbella this week following a busy few days working on the Costa del Sol.

The former Desperate Housewives star, who hails from Texas but is the daughter of Mexican American parents, was in the area to host the Global Gift Foundation, a charity fundraiser for underprivileged children and women worldwide…

Longoria wore a stunning golden bikini that showed off her curvy figure as she frolicked with pals on a yacht off the shore of Puerto Banús.

Longoria is fluent in Spanish and is a regular visitor to the Costa del Sol. Judging by her tweets and accompanying pictures, the actress is as enamoured with Marbella as she is with her home town of LA. While on board she wrote: “Vacation time with @amaurynolasco #Marbella # AndTheJumpingPhotosBegin, before adding “Now I’ve got @ImEvaLaRue jumping too!! #Marbella #Espana”.

As the sun set on her time on board, Longoria added one final, sun-dappled photo of her beautiful view, adding the caption: “Hola Marbella!!!”

Earlier in the week British boxing legend Ricky Hatton, 36, was spotted swigging champagne and enjoying a few cigars at a pool party in Puerto Banús.

Looking a little way off his peak, the paunchy star appeared to be enjoying the fruits of a punishing career, flashing the cash and simply enjoying life under the Spanish sunshine.

Earlier in the summer season it was the turn of Premier League footballers and reality TV stars to take over the glamorous venues of the Costa del Sol, but with most leading clubs now back in training, and filming having finished for programmes such as The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE), it is now the turn of some of the world’s biggest A-listers to get their fill of the coolest corner of the Mediterranean.
